Russian-Kazakhstan Medical Institute LLP began its activities in 2011 based at the Kazakh-Russian Medical University.

RKMI works in the field of continuing vocational education in the direction of “advanced training of medical and pharmaceutical workers”.

Foreign and Kazakhstani teachers and experts with many years of practical experience comprise our professional team.

Flexible education system gives the opportunity to train specialists in accordance with the needs of practical health care, with the possibility of conducting off-site cycles for Kazakhstani regions.

The training is conducted in accordance with the standard program of retraining and advanced training of specialists with higher and secondary medical and pharmaceutical education, approved by order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 165 of 04.14.2017.

Mission – formation of the socially-oriented Institute in the conditions of public-private partnership, which trains highly qualified health professionals on programs of additional education, contributing to the improvement of the quality of medical services and strengthening the health of the population

The strategic goal of “Russian-Kazakhstan medical Institute” LLP is the sustainable development of additional medical education by creating flexible and mobile system that can meet the need for continuous professional development of personnel and provide health care organizations of the Republic, especially in remote regions, with qualified specialists, whose training meets state and international educational standards.

What documents are required for admission?

A copy of the identity card, a copy of the diploma, certificates of the specialist, if there is a recent professional development.

How many academic hours do I need in order to get a category?

In accordance with the order of the Minister of Healthcare and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 29, 2015 No. 531 “On approval of the Rules, terms for issuance and revocation of a certificate of qualification category for healthcare professionals, with the exception of specialists in the field of sanitary and epidemiological safety of the population.” For the second qualification category, the total amount of 108 hours is required for advanced training in the claimed specialty.

For the first qualification category, the total amount of 162 hours is required for advanced training in the claimed specialty. For the higher qualification category, the total amount of 216 hours is required for advanced training in the claimed specialty. In case of a recall, the specialist submits documents confirming additional completion of advanced training courses in the total amount of not less than 216 hours for the proposed specialty, passed after recall of the certificate.

What work experience is needed to get qualification category?

Criteria for getting healthcare qualification category:
the second qualification category is assigned to specialists with work experience in the claimed specialty for at least three years, as well as implementation of medical activity in the claimed specialty at the time of submitting; the first qualification category is assigned to specialists with work experience in the claimed specialty for at least six years, as well as implementation of medical activity in the claimed specialty at the time of submitting; the higher qualification category is assigned to specialists with work experience in the claimed specialty for at least ten years, as well as implementation of medical activity in the claimed specialty at the time of submitting.

I have read on your website about the department/course of dermatovenereology, which conducts retraining of therapeutic specialists in dermatocosmetology. In 2016, I got a diploma of a physician. I have no work experience since I was on maternity leave. Can I be admitted to this course for fee-paying education?

The order of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 24.11.2009 №774 “On approval of the Nomenclature of Medical and Pharmaceutical Specialties” provides for the specialty “Dermatovenereology (venereology, dermatology, dermatocosmetology) (adult, infantile)”. In addition, we inform that for graduates of medical universities who have completed education in the General Medicine program, including internship (internship graduates since 2014), passing a residency is a prerequisite for admission to work in clinical specialties approved by healthcare authorized body (order of the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 30, 2008 No. 27 “On approval of the List of clinical specialties in internship and residency). This standard is governed by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education” and applies to persons who have started training within the framework of SCES-2006.
